Dog Walking Products, Australian-Made Walking Gear for Every Dog
Daily walks are the single most important enrichment activity for dogs. The right walking gear makes the walk safer, more comfortable, and easier on your hands. Our dog walking range covers collars, leads, harnesses, poop-bag dispensers, and hands-free options for runners. Most pieces are Australian-made or designed locally to Australian standards.
What's in the walking range
- Standard 4-foot and 6-foot leads in soft webbing and padded leather.
- Hands-free running and walking belts with shock-absorber sections.
- Comfort-padded collars in sizes XS through XL.
- Y-front and front-clip harnesses for puller training.
- Poop-bag dispensers, leash-mounted treat pouches, and reflective accessories.
What's the best lead length for everyday neighbourhood walks?
A 4-foot lead is the sweet spot for most Australian neighbourhood walks. Close enough to manage parked cars and oncoming dogs, with enough room to sniff and pee. Go to 6 feet for parks and quieter trails, and reserve 10-foot or longer training leads for recall practice in enclosed spaces only.
Should I walk my dog in a harness or a collar?
Both work, but for different reasons. A harness distributes pulling pressure across the chest (protects the throat, better for puppies, brachycephalic breeds like Pugs and Frenchies, and small dogs with delicate tracheas like Cavoodles and Maltese). A collar carries ID tag and council registration. Many owners use both, harness for the walk, collar for the tag.
How often should I walk my dog?
Healthy adult dogs need at least one structured walk per day, ideally 30 to 60 minutes. Puppies under 6 months should walk 5 minutes per month of age (so a 4-month-old gets 20 minutes). Senior dogs may prefer two shorter gentle walks. Working breeds need substantially more, often 90+ minutes split across the day.
