Can dogs eat apples? Yes. Plain apple flesh is not on RSPCA Australia's list of foods that are toxic to dogs, but fruit seeds are, so take out the core and seeds and give a few thin slices as a treat. Keep apple, with every other treat, under 10% of the day's calories, a rule from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (overseas). Keep dogs away from rotten windfalls.
