PET DENTAL TREATS VITAL TO GUM HEALTH
In a recent article published in Pet food Industry.com it was concluded that “In the study, which included national surveys of both veterinarians and pet owners, veterinarians indicated that the majority of the pets they see have dental problems.”
Further to this, it has been recognised that the “Pet owners’ primary defence against teeth and gum problems in their pets are dental treats and chews.”
When studies like these are conducted, it is important to take note sometimes and realise that treating your beloved pet isn’t just a thing to do to make you feel good.
Granted, it most certainly increases the bond between the pet parent and their pet, regardless of the breed or type of animal.
Plus, giving Pet treats is also an accepted fact that they are an important part of the training process.
However more and more we are realising how functional they can be and how important certain treats can be for the dental health of our pets.
Although this article is based out of the USA, it is still applicable to us here in Australia.
Our pets, regardless the type of animals, rely on their mouths, and thus, Gums and Teeth on a daily basis. As such the health of this region is really important and is totally necessary for them living a happy, stress free and enjoyable life.
So when you are next out and about, don’t just choose your pet treats just because you think they deserve it……..perhaps consider how important they can be in assisting with the health of your fury family member.
Feel free to check out the exciting range of Healthy Dental Treats at Huds and Toke, where we design and make our treats here in Australia.
