Are dog treats healthy for my dog?

Yes — when you choose the right ones! At Huds and Toke, our dog treats are made with natural ingredients and no nasties like artificial colours or preservatives. They're designed to support wellbeing while adding fun, flavour, and reward to your dog's day.

How many dog treats can I give my dog each day?

This depends on what you are using the Dog chews for and what type are they? 

Australian Made products will always be better than imorted products.....  However, some products have more fat and sugar than others.  So be sure to read the ingredient lists and take note of the manufacturers recommendations.

As a general rule, Dog Treats are not a meal/food replacment.  As such, Treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog's daily food intake.

Use them during training, playtime, for Boredom Busting, or just to say “I love you!”.

Ensure your puppy always has access to adequate fresh water.

You can train your dog inside or outside.  If you use Huds and Toke No Melt Dog Treats, there will never be any stains or smudges on your carpet inside.... if you chose to train your puppy inside the house!

There are also numerous options to choose from ranging from crunchy little bites to be given in the moment and then move on quickly to larger more decadent rewards which allow them to sit and enjoy the experience of chewing for a longer period after sustained good behaviour.

What ingredients should I look for in healthy dog treats?

Look for real, natural ingredients like oats, meat, and vegetables. Avoid artificial flavours, fillers, or excessive sugars. Huds and Toke treats are packed with goodness and no hidden junk.

Remember, Pet Dogs are Omnivors.  This means they eat both Meat, Vegetables, and grains.  In-fact, they need a balanced diet which has high fibre, protein, and other nutrients from a variety of different sources....  Very similar to us....  Hence why you will see your dog eat grass at certain times... They are lookign for fibre.

Therefore, vegetables and grains are absolutley fine for your dog to eat, especially in a treat form, as is meat products obviously!
