Choosing a treat is about more than flavour. The best one suits your dog's size, age and dietary needs, earns its keep at training or dental time, and still feels like a genuine reward. Everything here is baked or prepared in our own HACCP-certified kitchen on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, made specifically for dogs since 2007, with no added sugar and no artificial colours or preservatives.
How to choose the right treat for your dog
Three quick questions narrow it down:
- What is it for? Training rewards want to be soft, small and low in calories so you can give plenty without overfeeding. Dental care wants a firm, long-lasting chew. Everyday spoiling and gifting is where our hand-decorated cookies and gift boxes come into their own.
- How big is your dog? Match the size of the treat or chew to your dog, and break larger pieces down for small breeds and puppies.
- Any dietary needs? For weight management or a sensitive tummy, look to the low-fat and single-protein options. For allergies, the grain-free, vegetable and insect-protein ranges give you alternatives to the usual proteins.
The 10% rule: Treats should make up no more than about 10% of your dog's daily calories. They are a reward, not a meal, so adjust dinner to match.
The range, by what you need
Training rewards
Soft, bite-sized pieces for fast, happy repetition: kangaroo and beef micro bones, fish bites and insect-protein morsels. Easy to break smaller for a puppy.
Dental chews
Firmer chews and baked biscuits that give teeth a workout, help reduce tartar and keep a busy dog occupied, in kangaroo, chicken, beef and natural bones.
Single-protein meat
High-protein snacks from one named source: beef, chicken, kangaroo, lamb, pork or goat. A good fit for active dogs and for keeping ingredient lists short and clear.
Grain-free and vegetable
Grain-free, vegetable and plant-based options, including veggie tubes, hemp cookies and insect-protein chews, for sensitive dogs or owners who simply prefer them.
Gourmet cookies, cakes and gift boxes
The range we are best known for: hand-decorated cookies, doggy donuts, layered birthday cakes, festive Christmas treats and ready-to-give gift boxes. Made to look special while staying completely dog-safe, with no chocolate and no added sugar.
What makes ours different
We have made treats for dogs, horses, cats and small pets since 2007, and we are now stocked across Australia, the UK, US, Ireland, Singapore, Germany and Japan. A few things we hold to:
- Made for dogs, not people. No added sugar, no artificial colours or preservatives, and never a shortbread base (that is high in sugar and fat). Our biscuit base is formulated for dogs.
- Australian made and food-safe. Baked in our own HACCP-certified kitchen on the Sunshine Coast.
- Natural ingredients with a purpose. Hemp, fish, carob and single proteins chosen to support skin, coat, joints and enrichment.
Frequently asked questions
How many treats can my dog have in a day?
As a guide, keep treats to around 10% of your dog's daily calories and adjust meals to suit. Small dogs need very little, so break treats into smaller pieces.
Which are best for training?
Soft, small, low-calorie pieces your dog can eat quickly, like our micro bones and fish bites, so you can reward often without overfeeding.
Do you have options for sensitive or overweight dogs?
Yes. The low-fat and single-protein options suit weight management and sensitive tummies, and the grain-free and vegetable range helps with allergies. For a dog with a health condition, check with your vet.
Are they safe for puppies and all breeds?
Yes, across small, medium and large breeds and every life stage. For puppies and toy breeds, choose soft options and break them into smaller pieces.
How should I store them?
Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place. Baked and dehydrated treats keep for several months when stored well.
